I have been practicing yoga for approximately 17 years, coming to yoga as a form of therapeutic exercise and for relaxation and meditation. Yoga opened a window, which has changed my whole life in a very positive way.

Yoga - Northamptonshire & Buckinghamshire Areas
Yoga is for everyone. Hatha Yoga promotes the attainment of true health and
happiness by working with the mind and body in harmony.
Whatever your starting point and wherever you
wish to take your yoga journey to, yoga is a non-competitive regime. It aims
to enable you to understand your own underlying potential and to realise your
natural abilities. Yoga is a life long gift to yourself, opening up the opportunity
to attain greater balance, strength and flexibility of mind and body, enriching
and empowering you to discover more of your own inner resources and potential. |
What Sandy Teaches:
My teachings are based on the tenets of Hatha Yoga, combined with numerous years of experience as a health professional, both in the hospital and community environments.
Hatha Yoga is the main form of Yoga practised in the West. Hatha Yoga embraces
the learning and practice of Patanjali's eight limbs of yoga. Part of this journey
incorporates learning to have compassion and respect for others (Yamas), self-restraint
(Niyamas), postures (Asanas), breathing exercises (Pranayama), sense withdrawal
(Pratyahara), concentration (Dharana), meditation (Dhyana), and contemplation
(Samadhi). Yoga practice also incorporates relaxation and visualisation.

Personal Training for Individuals and Couples
Yoga sessions in the privacy of your own home enable you to enjoy the individual
attention of your yoga teacher, which means that each session is tailored to
your personal requirements. Also sessions are booked to fit in with your life
style and commitments.
An initial consultation during the
first session entails a detailed history taking (medical/social).
A full assessment of your alignment and flexibility, co-ordination
and movement, motivation, expectations and ability to relax will
be observed and discussed with you.
A personal programme and schedule of sessions will be discussed and arranged
with you and periodic reviews will take place. |
